Number of Subjects

Prices shown above are for three subjects or less, however portrait sizes up to 25 x 25cm (10 x 10 inches) and smaller can accommodate one subject only. If you would like to include more than three subjects in your portrait, please see prices for each extra subject below:

Background

There is a range of backgrounds I can create with your portrait. With head and shoulder portraits I usually create a colour shaded background in the case of acrylic paintings or leave background white in the case of a pencil drawing.

Where the portrait is a full body portrait, I will include a shaded or scenic background. If the reference photograph has a suitable background I will use it, for example grass, shrubery, etc. I can create a scenic background from another reference photo as well. If for example, your dog has a favourite spot for walks and you wish to place him/her there in your portrait, feel free to let me know when emailing me your photographs.

In any case the background is dependent on the main subject and I can suggest a background suitable for your portrait if you are unsure. You will always receive a free portrait proof before any work begins on your portrait, so you will know exactly what the composition of your portrait will look like when finished.

Postage and Packaging

I accept commissions from around the world. All finished artwork is carefully wrapped first in a plastic sheet, then strengthened with foamboard / thick cardboard, wrapped in several layers of bubble wrap and finally posted in a strong polythene bag. This ensures safe delivery of your portrait. I use AnPost registered post for posting your portrait to you. You will receive your portrait within one to two days in Ireland.

Pencil drawings are posted in a conservation grade mount / matt with a strong backing board, which means they are ready for framing. Paintings are posted on a canvas or rolled in the case of oversized artwork (above 50 x 60 cm). Postal charges are listed in the table below:

Greeting Cards and Prints of your Portrait

You can order giclee art prints or greeting cards of your commissions for family or friends. If you would like to know more about ordering prints and greeting cards, feel free to email me for more details or let me know when filling out the Contact Form.

Original Artwork and Art Prints

Between commissions I often create other artworks that are then available for purchase in the Online Shop. These are mostly wildlife art pieces but also include landscape. You can either purchase an original piece or art prints and greeting cards. Prints and cards are available for order directly by contacting me. Just have a look through available artworks in the Online Shop and send me an email with the name of the artwork. I will let you know the available sizes and prices.
